Two dance floors, four bars, mega video screens, drag shows and theme nights keep the fun going all night long at the largest gay dance club in Wisconsin. Schadenfreude — third Friday of the month, a spectacular evening filled with shade and entertainment brought to you by Pagan Holladay and her friends. The main floor in the middle is called LVL Complex, and the top floor LVL Cabaret is a performance and lounge space with drag shows, cabaret, and more. Because the hotel has a bit of an LGBTQ following, you'll often spot "family" in the lounge, or up on the roof at Zen On Seven, a lounge that's only open for special events. The latest party was on Sunday May 8,the 10th anniversary of the bar closing, in the same building which is still an Irish pub. NTN Trivia challenges, Friday through Sunday beer busts, and cheap happy hours are part of the draw at this laid-back spot that draws a mostly male, all-ages crowd of gay sports fans.
But business wasn't the same without Bob Schmidt around, and, in part because of a changing neighborhood gentrification, an increasingly difficult parking situation, etc.
